Plants or vegetables? The classification of the botanical world in Phylogeny. Plants, cormophytes, Thallophytes, Algae, Trees... These taxa, now obsolete (FOR 200 YEARS), belong to a classification of the plant world still presented and learned by undergraduate students or in popular science books! Due to the complexity of plant classification, I propose a video that will be both instructive and critical ;) You will discover a lot of new scientific terms (often used in previous videos elsewhere, because they are essential) such as Phylogeny, Clade, monophyletic, paraphyletic and polyphyletic group, or even names of taxa such as Chlorobionts or Chloroplastidae, Embryophytes with liverworts (marchantiophytes), anthocerophytes and bryophytes as well as tracheophytes (Spermatophytes, Lycophytes (Lycopods), Monilophytes (Filicophytes (ferns), Arthrophytes (Horsetails, calamitales, sphenophyllales...)... . Do not hesitate to share the video and to comment for an appreciation of the video and to ask me a question(s) if necessary, I will answer them.
