Using my oil boiler/heat generator as an example, I will show you today how you can clean the combustion chamber yourself. This is important because oil does not burn without leaving residue: soot and sulphur deposits collect on the heat exchanger surface and reduce efficiency and the exhaust emissions become worse: a layer just 1mm thick increases fuel consumption by around 5%. You will need: -dust mask/safety goggles -ash vacuum cleaner (please use a special vacuum cleaner!) -tools: socket wrench set -boiler brush -gloves -flashlight or similar Everyone is responsible for any damage to the heating system or similar that may occur. All information and tips are without guarantee, I accept no liability for injuries, damage, accidents, etc.!
