After this incident, Bob found a new instructor named Bill Alexander and learned the art of painting well. Some time later, a depressed woman named Annette Kowalski came to Bill to take a painting class because of her depression, but Bill was no longer there and Bob had become an instructor. In short, Annette had a session with Bob and fell in love with his teaching style and from then on, somehow, she became Bob's program manager to turn Bob into a successful painter. A short while later, Bob appears on television for the first time and the first episode of The Joy of Painting is broadcast.
