AMSTERDAM - From mid-March 2013, Waternet will be busy removing boat wrecks that cause nuisance or damage in Amsterdam. The wrecks can cause damage to quay walls and (house)boats and are in the way. This concerns neglected and abandoned boats that lie on the Bloemgracht, Egelantiersgracht, Geldersekade, Herengracht, Kattenburgervaart, Keizersgracht, Kloveniersburgwal, Leidsegracht, Lijnbaansgracht, Westerkade, Cruquiuskade and the Prinsengracht. Black list Waternet has drawn up a black list of boats that are nominated for removal. In addition to boats on the above canals, the list also includes a green sloop at the NDSM site, a motorboat on the Amstel - Weesperzijde and a speedboat on the Van Noordtgracht. If you do not remove the boat from the water in time, it will be demolished. The boats will be salvaged from 12 March.
