We made a round trip with a charter yacht from Sneek to Amsterdam and back. The outward journey took us via Lemmer and the Ijsselmeer to Lelystad. From there we went directly to Amsterdam via the Markermeer. After a two-night stay in Amsterdam we continued via the canals to the beautiful fishing village of Spakenburg. From there we went on to Elburg, one of the oldest city fortresses in the Netherlands. We went via the Ketelmeer and Zwartemeer to Vollenhove. The last part of our route took us through the Weeribben-Wieden National Park to our last mooring. This natural mooring was on an island in the Tsjukemar. The last part took us back to the starting port in Sneek. The route was designed for 10 days. Due to a storm on the very first day of our vacation we had to shorten the route a bit. We were still able to complete it without any problems and also kept to the 2 planned nights in Amsterdam. CORRECTION: From minute 02:40 onwards it is of course Lemmer (not Sneek)!
