Meet the all-new BMW X5! Matt has been given the all-new BMW family SUV to find out if it’s the perfect all-rounder, and to do so he’s giving it a proper Carwow review! So, let’s get started… Starting with the design, there are a few noticeable changes on the outside compared to the latest trim level. For example, there’s a new taillight design and a revised bumper, while around the sides you’ll be greeted by a brand new alloy wheel design, and on the M Sport version we’re reviewing, you’ll also find black window surrounds paired with black roof rails. At the front, the changes are similar to the rear, with new headlights and a revised front bumper. Add to these changes the hard creases along the sides, and we think the X5 is a seriously good looking car! Inside, you’ll find a traditional BMW cabin, with soft-touch materials found throughout the cabin. The X5 now comes with BMW’s latest curved infotainment display and digital instrument cluster, and there’s plenty of storage space inside the cabin. The seats are still comfortable, too. There’s a choice of engines too. There’s a choice of two: a 3.0-litre inline-six diesel engine that produces either 300bhp or 350bhp, while there’s also a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine paired with an electric motor that can produce 490bhp. The range-topping model, however, is the M60i, with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 530bhp. Prices for the new X5 start at around £69,000, rising to around £94,000 for the best trim level. So is it worth it? Or should you opt for the GLE or Q7? Stick with Matt to find out!
