Here we go BMW fans, this is what you’ve been waiting for… BMW M5 DRAG RANGES! We have every generation of BMW M5, from the original E28 all the way to the F90, and we’re about to find out just how far the BMW M5 has come since it first rolled off the production line. So, let’s see how they all compare. Starting with the E28, it’s powered by a 3.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-six engine that can make 286 hp and 340 Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. Opposite it we have the E34, which houses a 3.8-litre naturally aspirated inline-six engine that can make 340 hp and 400 Nm of torque. And just like the E28, power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. Next up we have the E39, which houses a naturally aspirated 5-liter V8 under the hood. As a result, it packs plenty of power compared to the E34, putting out 400 hp and 500 Nm. However, it still only comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and of course, power is sent only to the rear wheels. On top of this, we have the glorious E60, which comes equipped with an incredible naturally aspirated 5-liter V10! This monster can make 507 hp and 520 Nm of torque, and all of that power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed robotized manual gearbox. For the last two cars, we’ll be switching to dual-clutch automatic gearboxes. Starting with the F10, it’s powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that sends all of its power to the rear wheels. However, the latest generation, the F90, not only has more power (with 625 hp and 750 Nm), but it also comes equipped with all-wheel drive! So will the F90 come out on top? Or could we be about to see the results change? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Instagram – /carwow Tiktok – /carwow Facebook – /carwowuk Twitter – /carwowuk
