Today I'll give you a little insight into our blanket training and how we set it up. I really like to use it when I'm training with one dog and the others have to wait. Or when we're eating ;) Then the dogs go on the blanket until we're finished. Blanket training isn't just very practical for us, it also helps the dog to calm down. Many dogs run after their owners a lot at home when they change rooms. At first glance, that's not a bad thing, but if you look more closely, you'll notice that the dog rarely gets the rest and relaxation phases it needs. But every dog needs these to replenish its reserves, regenerate and process what it has experienced. That's why targeted blanket training really makes sense so that the dog learns where its resting place is. In return, however, families should also make sure that the dog is left alone by the children, for example, when it retreats to its blanket.
