He knows the risks of birth only too well. For him and his team, the mission now begins: ventilation and initial care of the newborn - stability is the goal. He does everything he can to give his little patients a good start in life after a complicated birth. Rafat speaks of a moment full of emotions when parents can hold their child in their arms for the first time. Despite the turbulent everyday life in the intensive care unit, each of these moments remains unique for him. At the same time, 21-year-old Michael is fighting against time in the kidney clinic. He has been on dialysis for months and is waiting for a kidney transplant. He needs the new organ so urgently that his mother wants to donate a kidney to him - even though his blood type is not a match. The family is going through a rollercoaster of emotions - it is the hope of a new life, free from dialysis. Daniela, 34 years old and a nurse, is preparing for a big change. She has decided to have a stomach operation to put an end to her long struggle with her weight. 123 kilograms of body weight is simply too much, Daniela thinks. Supported by her son Valentin and her husband Jochen, she struggles with everyday hurdles and the fear of the procedure. ???? Did you like this video? Give us a like!
