The P8, the oil-fired express steam locomotive 01 1066 with the coal-fired 01 519 as the pilot locomotive were the stars of a special trip to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Eisenbahn-Romantik in 2006. Between Hunsrück and Upper Swabia, between North Baden and the Southern Palatinate, there will be a lot of steam this summer on July 29th and 30th - the Eisenbahn-Romantik birthday express is on the way. The reason for this spectacle is the 15th anniversary of the SWR series Eisenbahn-Romantik. The trip goes right through the broadcast area and, as befits the most successful railway series on German television, of course at full steam.
