From Ardipithecus ramidus (4.4 million years ago), our most distant known ancestor, to Homo sapiens (200,000 years ago), the human species has lived with a series of factors that have determined its evolution. The development of human genealogy has been marked by glaciations and atmospheric decline; the evolution of the climate led to changes in habitat and the subsequent adaptation or extinction of species. Human ancestors adapted to new conditions: adjustments in their diet, new technologies, their own physiognomy and the duration of their development were key to their evolution and survival. In this conference, paleoanthropologist José María Bermúdez de Castro presents the conditions and stages of “the evolutionary career of the Homo genus.” Fifth conference of the cycle “History of life on Earth” https://www.march.es/conferencias/det...
