Biography... Mehdi Ben Barka, the king's friend and opponent from beginning to end... Mehdi Ben Barka is the most famous missing person in the history of Morocco. In today's biography, we will learn about the life story of Mehdi Ben Barka from beginning to end. Mehdi Ben Barka was born in 1920 in Rabat and died in 1965. His kidnapping and murder caused a political crisis between the government of the late French President, Charles de Gaulle, and King Hassan II. In the severing of diplomatic relations between France and Morocco, Moroccan intelligence was accused, represented by Mohamed Oufki and Ahmed Dlimi, while American, Israeli and French intelligence were also accused later. Mehdi had joined the Istiqlal Party, and became president of the National Shura Council. His star shone in the 1940s as one of the symbols of resistance against the colonizer and later as one of the fiercest opponents and critics of King Hassan II in Morocco.
