The Binh Gia Campaign was a campaign that took place in December 1964 in Binh Gia village, Phuoc Tuy province, 70 km east of Saigon, between the Liberation Army and the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. The key battles of the campaign took place in Binh Gia village, a settlement village of Catholics from the Vinh diocese who migrated to the South from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces after 1954. This was the first campaign in which the main force of the Liberation Army of the Southeast attacked the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. Despite having a clear advantage in artillery firepower and bombers, and being supported by American officers, the Army of the Republic of Vietnam still did not achieve positive results against the Liberation Army, suffering heavy losses. This campaign also recorded the growth of the Liberation Army, the troops had shifted from guerrilla warfare to battlefield warfare and were strong enough to confront the strongest forces of the Republic of Vietnam, supported by American firepower. After the campaign, the US directly sent troops to join the war with a number of allied countries, changing the military balance in South Vietnam, opening the most fierce phase of the entire war later. -------------------------------------- If you find the video interesting, don't forget to click LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE. ▶️ Channel address: https://www.youtube.com/c/TungTangKhác... ▶️ For more information, please contact: [email protected].
