Like a dragon from ancient legends, it stretches for thousands of kilometers from Tuva through the Krasnoyarsk Territory to the polar latitudes. The dragon's tail lies in the south of Siberia in the spurs of the Sayan Mountains, and its head rests in the icy waters of the Arctic Ocean. Camels live in the upper reaches of this river, one of the largest in the world, and polar bears live in the lower reaches. A trip along the Yenisei is the famous fish soup, for which tourists travel thousands of kilometers; and the small village of Kureika, where in Soviet times passengers from all passing ships were forced to voluntarily disembark in order to visit the Stalin Museum (it burned down in 1996); and the polar town of Dudinka, where the Arctic port on the Northern Sea Route is located; and a meeting with the indigenous Nenets people, ready to tell the tales of their ancestors. Yenisei is the master of Siberian nature, majestic and indestructible. Its heart is a powerful engine of power plants. And its soul is a repository of many ancient legends.
