Big IGE Winter Tour through Germany Day 1 - From the Pegnitz Valley to the Ore Mountains

From February 25th, 2017 to March 2nd, 2017 it was that time again, the IGE Erlebnisreisen organized a special train across Germany. On the first day, the train went from Nuremberg through the Pegnitz Valley and over the Schiefe Ebene to Hof. In this section, 52 8195 and 41 1150 were used in front of the train. From Hof, the train continued on to Zwickau with 50 3648 alone. From here, the 52 8131 helped to overcome the gradients in the Ore Mountains. From Schwarzenberg, the famous Ore Mountains observation railway with the well-known Markersbach viaduct was crossed. In the evening, the trip ended in Chemnitz.
