The White Factory is one of the oldest industrial buildings in Łódź. Its owner was Ludwik Geyer, an industrialist from Saxony, who came to Łódź in 1828. Since 1960, the White Factory has housed the Central Textile Museum. It displays a collection of textile tools and machines, as well as documents and memorabilia from Ludwik Geyer's former factories. Behind the museum building, in 2008, the Open-Air Museum of Wooden Architecture of Old Łódź was established.
