For the cultural heritage project Bi mi to Huus, the Darme local history association planted, tended and harvested a potato field - in the style of the 50s/60s. Old machines were used and a lot of physical work was also involved. Weeds had to be weeded and potato beetles had to be fought by hand rather than with pesticides. Harvesting, sorting and filling into sacks also required a lot of work. At the end, however, everyone was able to enjoy an evening of potato pancakes. The local history association also used the film to give its mission to the association's individual working groups its attention. The documentation on potatoes is expanded, among other things, by acting out scenes in between that form a framework story. A second documentation has been created in the form of texts and photos. https://heimatverein-darme.de/ https://bimitohuus.org/kartoffelernte...
