Initially, the band was called "Brothers in Arms", then "Bereg istiny", which was shortened to "Bi-2". In the early 1990s, the band members emigrated: Lyova remained in Israel, and Shura moved to Australia. Despite the distance, they continued to collaborate, exchanging recordings and ideas. In 1999, Bi-2 returned to Russia, where their popularity increased after recording the soundtrack "Nobody Writes to the Colonel" for the film "Brother 2". Since then, the group has released several successful albums, including "Meow Kiss Me" (2001), "Foreign Marks" (2004), and "Event Horizon" (2017). They actively collaborate with other musicians and symphony orchestras, experimenting with various musical styles. In 2022, Bi-2 spoke out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which led to the cancellation of their concerts in the Russian Federation and the subsequent emigration of their members. In 2023, they moved to Israel, continuing their musical activities abroad. Since 2024, part of the band lives in Spain.
