Oliver Malina Morgenstern's film presents individual gardens, corners, houses, mills and personalities of Kampa, Charles Bridge in a slightly different way and characters from history and the present. Jindřich Horel tells the story of Kabourek, the waterman, about his famous mill wheel and vividly shows the way Kabourek gets his souls. For example, the Huť mill or the Zlomkovský mill are presented. Thanks to the stories of the locals, viewers can get a glimpse into ancient and recent history, into well-known and hidden corners. Roman Kotrč, the most famous artist from Charles Bridge, remembers how he drew as a small boy and then sold pictures of dogs for five crowns, but he also recalls the time when Kampa was unsightly and unkempt, but shared and open everywhere. The documentary also draws attention to the interesting fact that, paradoxically, during the war, the Nazis, who had the regional headquarters of the NSDAP in the Liechtenstein Palace in Kampa, helped to unify Kampa, which had been divided by land at that time. There are also a number of beautiful and interesting stories, and Werich's villa, which has been a cultural center since the time of the Nostics and during the time of Josef Dobrovský, who lived in the house owned by the Nostics from 1798 to 1803, cannot be left out. Kampa can attract and please everyone. The film distribution company AQS, as (Bioscop and Magic Box) offers you Czech and Slovak films, series and foreign films with dubbing or Czech subtitles.
