Between festival and festival: the biggest challenge for stage builders in the north. Fabian Schwabe is facing sleepless nights. The Stralsund native always works when others are celebrating. The 29-year-old is excitedly looking forward to his biggest challenge, his personal finale, so to speak. For a week, two unusual major events that couldn't be more different, somewhere between festival and festival, are home to Fabian and his boys and 200 tons of equipment. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival in the halls of Ostseestaal is logistically hard work for the stage builders. Fabian and his team of ten are working hard in a race against time. Within one night, they build the stage between large steel sheets for solar ships, wind turbines and tanks, and set up the lighting and sound technology. Finally, the event technicians light up huge magnets in the hall. For a special flair. At the same time, Philipp Raatz and Marek Kellner are fighting their way through the cables at the Pangea Festival in Pütnitz. Thousands of cables go through their hands. This can lead to unwanted mix-ups. After two rainy years, they are hoping for an event in dry weather and are loading their trucks with rubber boots, tents and spare lamps to be on the safe side.
