Today we're going to Saxon Switzerland. For me, the most beautiful region in the world. There's something to discover and marvel at at every corner. In my VLOG today I'll show you the most beautiful tour through this beautiful landscape. It starts in Ostrau, just behind the famous spa town of Bad Schandau. - After parking on the Ostrau plain, you first head downhill towards the Schrammsteinbaude. (Be careful, anyone who parks along the road here will be fined 40 euros.) - After crossing the road, you then head back up via the Schießgrund. Here you can take a detour to the Falkenstein (a great free-standing climbing rock) on the left. - Back on the starting route, you head towards the Schrammsteintor and after a short hike you climb up the Schrammsteine and then to the overwhelming Schrammstein view. WOW - you have to see it live. It's amazing. The Elbe valley, the rocks and the landscape are unique. - Now we continue on the Gradweg and this is not for people with a fear of heights. Everyone else will be thrilled. We slowly leave the Schrammsteine area and walk towards Winterberg. Finally it gets quieter and you can enjoy the great nature and the walking. Past the breakfast spot with the next beautiful view, over sections with ladders and narrow passages to finally the next highlight of the tour - the Carolafelsen. Here the heart beats faster again. Is this now the most beautiful view in Saxon Switzerland? - it could be. AMAZING - if you can tell the difference, it continues downhill and then to the "Wilde Hölle". Here the sign even says "difficult". ???? The first 500m are beautiful, but quite "normal" - but then it goes along the wall on metal bars. Your knees start to get a bit weak. But it's still sooo awesome. Done and happy, I look back again. - COOL - Now it's a bit quieter in the direction of Schrammsteine and you have to decide whether to go around them or cross them. I still have energy and want to treat myself to the view one more time. Good thing, because the setting sun brings a new atmosphere. After a section of Gradweg, we now head downhill again and through the Lattengrund towards Schrammsteinbaude and the last point on our tour. THE EMMABANK - From here there is another beautiful view of the Elbe valley. A bench and a table invite you to take a rest with a great view of the Elbe. What a beautiful area. After about 2 km the circle closes on the Ortau plain. - If you still have energy and desire, you can visit the Skywalk in Ostrau (with a small detour) past great houses. Last beautiful view and after 23 km the most beautiful tour (for me) through Saxon Switzerland ends.
