Keeping the history of Penzlin Castle alive The "Alte Burg Penzlin" association was founded in 1991 with the aim of saving the historic but partially collapsed castle and preserving it for future generations. The now 64 members of the association and many other volunteers from the region have been happy to lend a hand and continue to do so to this day. In addition to public funds, which have been used to turn the castle back into a gem, the association also contributes funds from donations from association members, for example for the museum. The association is also a strong partner of the town and supports the preparations for traditional festivals such as Walpurgis Night, the castle festival and the Christmas market. The next big goal: the renovation of the castle roof.
