The Ramón Areces Foundation and the Complutense University of Madrid are organizing on October 24th the conference by Ben L. Feringa, Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry in 2016, under the title 'The joy of discovery'. There is a vast unknown territory where one can experience the joy of discovery through the exploration of the current frontiers of chemical sciences. In this presentation, research on molecular switches and motors is explored and how, when moving from molecules to dynamic molecular systems, the fundamental challenge is how to control and take advantage of movement at the nanometric scale.
