Bela IV (November 29, 1206 – May 3, 1270) — King of Hungary (1235-1270), Duke of Strike (1254-1258). He came from the Árpád dynasty, son of Andrew II the Crusader, grandson of Bela III. One of the most famous kings in the history of the Hungarian state, who distinguished himself by strengthening royal power following the example of his grandfather Bela III and restoring the country after the Mongol invasion in 1241.
