Beef thigh stew that even a beginner cook can make :) We need: 1.5-2 kg beef thigh (nut) 4 larger onions 3 large (fleshy) tomatoes 3 large peppers 4 cloves of garlic 5 larger potatoes 1-2 tbsp lard 3-4 tsp sweet ground paprika 1 tsp ground black pepper 1.5 tsp ground cumin salt to taste (at least 3 tsp) small tomato puree (approx. 100g) Sauté the onion in the lard. Then add the tomato puree and sweet paprika. If you like spicy, add chili or hot paprika. Mix to create a so-called stew, pour a little boiling water over it so that it doesn't burn and add the diced meat. Pour in a little boiling water and add finely chopped potatoes to thicken. While the meat is stewing, remove the skin from the tomatoes and dice everything together with the peppers. Cut the garlic into small pieces and add everything together with the vegetables to the meat. While the meat is softening, the vegetables will be completely cooked. When the meat is almost done, add the diced potatoes. Cook them briefly and they will be ready together with the meat. You can add salt and pepper to taste, and if you want, you can add ground marjoram at the end. Goulash tastes best with fresh bread. If the meat is fresh, it will be cooked in two hours. Enjoy :) PS: Goulash is a royal dish. Therefore, inferior ingredients should not be used in it, such as sinewy meat, shrivelled peppers or old onions. If you say to yourself, "I won't throw those peppers away just yet, because they're going to go into goulash," then don't expect miracles from this dish. Goulash isn't cooked every day. If you really want to enjoy it, don't skimp on the ingredients! PS2: please excuse the sound quality, my microphone is messed up again :/
