Several couples have embarked on this great adventure under the eye of our camera. For a year, we followed them step by step, for better and for worse. Clara and Axel, in their thirties, hope to find the rare gem for their first purchase: a beautiful old house that must be big enough to allow Axel to launch his new business. Will they have to give up certain criteria to become owners? From the classified ads to the signing at the notary, we shared the young couple's quest to find the ideal home. Buying real estate is sometimes an irrational choice. This is what happened to Julien and Véronique. This couple fell for a 17th century castle on the outskirts of Sarthe but in ruins. "We had a mutual crush. We came back and said to ourselves, this is it. We found our "home" in fact. There was a kind of obviousness to say to ourselves: we are crazy, we know that there will be ups and downs, it will be a project that will be colossal but it is there." Since buying the castle two years ago, Julien and Véronique have been at its bedside every day to try to save it. The project of a lifetime. Being an owner does not mean the end of the struggles. Arlette and André lost everything in a few minutes during a flood. Today, their fight is to rebuild their home but above all to "rebuild themselves". The retired couple has been waiting for the green light from the insurance company to start work for 11 months now. For the moment, they live in a caravan at the bottom of their garden.
