More than 50 people were shot dead in the streets of the Ugandan capital Kampala last November during the government’s crackdown on protests. Authorities defended the use of live ammunition, saying police and soldiers were intervening against the rioters. But research by the BBC Africa Eye team shows that on November 18, a police car drove through the city centre and officers shot seven unarmed people in about a minute.
