Thousands of women in Greenland had a contraceptive implanted in their wombs in the 1960s and 1970s – often without their knowledge. In addition, many of them were children, and suffered physical and psychological impacts that marked their lives. The aim of the measure was to reduce the growth of the Greenlandic population. An investigation by the government of Denmark, of which Greenland is an autonomous region, will look into this scandal. But in this documentary from the BBC series 100 Women, the victims themselves tell their stories and demand answers from Denmark. Watch and find out. Did you like it?
