About :

The Ka Nak commando base was established by the US Special Forces in 1964 in the primeval forest area on the eastern slope of the Truong Son mountain range. The entire base was home to more than 500 soldiers of the Montagnard Civilian Combat Force commanded by a group of US soldiers under the command of a Captain. In addition to training commandos, the Ka Nak base also conducted sweeps and mobilized soldiers to ambush and intercept the Liberation Army forces marching from the gateway to the Central Highlands to Binh Dinh and the Central provinces... To facilitate and expand the area of operation between the mountainous area and the plains, the Liberation Army launched an attack to eliminate the Ka Nak base. The main attacking force was the 409th Special Forces Battalion of Military Region V (more than 300 people), supported from behind by the 95th Infantry Regiment, along with local troops and guerrillas of Gia Lai. On the night of March 7, 1965, the Liberation Army opened fire to attack Ka Nak. Due to technical errors in the process of detecting and clearing mines, the mines exploded and glowed, so the attack plan was exposed. The garrison's firepower focused on covering the Liberation Army formation, causing great losses. Considering the unfavorable situation if they continued to attack, the Liberation Army ordered the troops to withdraw all remaining forces to the rear... As a result, after the battle, 300-500 soldiers were killed and their bodies were not recovered. The garrison then used bulldozers to push the soldiers' bodies into mass graves, some of which were soaked in gasoline and burned to destroy them. Until today, only a small part of the martyrs' remains have been collected, while the majority are still lying somewhere in the Kbang mountains and forests along the Dak Lop River that still flows through the old Ka Nak Base every day as a tragic testament to history. -------------------------------------- If you find the video interesting, don't forget to click LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE. ▶️ Channel address: https://www.youtube.com/c/TungTangKhắc... ▶️ For any information, please contact: [email protected].
