This video is a lesson on how to shield your bass or guitar. I show you step by step and demonstrate the entire process, giving tips and tricks so that the shielding is efficient and reduces any hiss, noise or humming in the instrument. I talk about the three types of shielding which are conductive paint, copper tape and aluminum tape, which is what I use on the Fender Precision Bass in the example. And I mention their differences. As a bonus, I give tips on some tools I use in luthiery, such as: my screwdriver, scalpel knife, wrenches for tightening potentiometers and screwdrivers, cleaning tools, etc. At the end of the video I show the before and after and how the noise almost completely disappears, even with a single coil pickup. @sergiograssiluthier [email protected] #shielding #luthiery #tooltips
