For this Barts Classic Track, the fortieth in the series, Bart Arens dives into the studio with Het Goede Doel to dissect their 42-year-old hit België layer by layer. The track België by Het Goede Doel is packed with super-tightly played instruments, nice details and clever tricks and is a joy to examine. With singer, keyboardist and composer Henk Temming, guitarist Sander van Herk and producer Robin Freeman, Bart discusses, among other things, what it was like to record such an electronic-sounding song as België as a band in a time with few technical possibilities. Editor's note: We also approached Henk Westbroek from Het Goede Doel for this Classic Track, but he informed Bart by phone that he would leave that honor entirely to Henk Temming.
