Two and a half years have passed since I became paralyzed from the waist down due to a spinal cord injury. My 45-year-old house is too inconvenient for me to live in a wheelchair. The bathroom has a step and I can't get in. The bathroom is too narrow for my wheelchair to turn. The toilet is blocked by the washing machine and I have had visiting nurses help me with excretion and a visiting bather give me a bath. I was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had only three months to live. Even though I didn't know when I would die, I couldn't decide to renovate my house. Since I was diagnosed with no cancer in March of this year, I have felt a strong desire to live on my own in a wheelchair, and I have been working hard on my rehabilitation. If I keep lazing around, I'll just get older. I want to go ahead and renovate and aim to live in a wheelchair. This is a record of the renovation from mid-August to the end of December 2022. #renovation #wheelchairrenovation #renovation #barrierfree #unitbath #kitchenrenovation #bathroomrenovation #wheelchairaccessibletoilet
