About :

Barış Manço’s Honda Prelude, which he used for the last time in December 1998, was put into a closed storage by his family after Barış Manço’s death, never to be used again. When the Honda Prelude turned 25 years old, it would be legally imported and brought to Turkey for exhibition purposes. According to the amendment made to the law, the car had to wait another 10 years after the age limit of 25 was increased to 35. In the floods that caused many deaths in 2021, this car was also exposed to the flood and became unusable. Thereupon, the Manço family contacted the General Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey and requested that the car be brought to Turkey urgently and with special permission. Upon this request, the General Directorate of Customs provided all the necessary conveniences for this highly spiritual legacy and completed the necessary procedures for the vehicle to arrive. With Barsan Global Logistics undertaking the transportation procedures, the Honda Prelude was brought from Belgium to Turkey by sea and delivered to the family. Honda Turkey contacted the family to meet all maintenance needs of the Honda Prelude brought to Turkey. Then, an agreement was reached for the car to be taken to an authorized service and the damages to be repaired.
