The first Hitachi Seaside Marathon will be held for the first time on November 17, 2024. I woke up at 3:30 in the morning, drove 4 hours from my home and stood at the starting line without any prior information. What awaited me was the unexpected rain before the start, clear sunshine with a maximum temperature of nearly 25°C, and ups and downs that broke my spirit countless times... This video will provide a live commentary of the race, which was held as an official full marathon competition and drew both praise and criticism, and shows how I took part in it with a fairly serious aim to achieve a sub-3.5 time for the first time in 5 years.
