The night at anchor on the Großenbroder Binnensee was abruptly interrupted by the anchor alarm, but luckily the wind had only changed direction and so after a quick bearing and checking of the anchor chain we were able to go back to our bunks. The next morning we were supposed to continue, but the inland lake did not want to give us up so easily - the anchor chain was completely overgrown with weeds and the anchor was so stuck in the mud that we had to break it out using a mixture of motor power and twice the strength of our hands. After all, we don't have an anchor winch on our small sailing ship! The short trip to Orth on Fehmarn then went smoothly, but as soon as we docked, Danny's old knee problem, the cartilage damage from 2015, made itself felt again, so that the skipper could hardly walk.
