The Bandeirantes Highway in São Paulo is considered one of the best highways in Brazil. Since its inauguration in 2001, it has won awards and is always ranked among the three best highways in the country, according to the National Confederation of Transportation. However, the project for this highway began much earlier, back in 1974, to solve a problem that was already a major problem: heavy traffic on the Anhanguera Highway, one of the state's main transportation routes. Today, the Bandeirantes Highway is essential for the country's trade and logistics. Together with the Mário Covas Beltway and the Anchieta Highway, it connects two of Brazil's largest export and import hubs.
