There are four ways in which a balance sheet can change using balance sheet accounts. We differentiate between asset swaps, liability swaps, asset-liability increases and asset-liability decreases. When assets and liabilities are swapped, the balance sheet total does not change because only one side of the balance sheet is affected. However, as soon as both sides are involved, as in the other two cases, the balance sheet total increases or decreases and must be adjusted. ___________________________ 0:00 Introduction 0:10 Asset swap 3:06 Passive swap 4:46 Asset-passive increase 7:18 Asset-passive decrease 9:40 Overview of balance sheet changes ___________________________ #bwl #accounting #booking #tconts #shouldhave #simplyexplained #learningvideo #herrtafelschwamm ____________________________ I really hope that this video helped you to understand the topic better :) Since I am certainly not infallible, I am always grateful for praise and criticism so that I can do it either just as well or even better next time 😉 If you have any topic requests because you have a class assignment or an exam coming up or you simply want to know more about a particular topic, please write to me in the comments under the videos or directly by message on Instagram: @herrtafelschwamm / herrtafelschwamm Attached you will find a few playlists that might also help you.
