Ingredients: 4 large or 8 small Pears 1 Orange peel 1 Lemon peel 2 Cinnamon sticks 2 Anise stars 4 Cloves 4 Cardamom pods 125 ml of Red Wine 125 ml of Tawny Port Wine 1 tablespoon of Butter 80 g of yellow sugar Preparation: Preheat the oven to 200º C. Place the whole pears, with the skin and well washed, on a dish suitable for the oven and at the table. Arrange the orange peel, lemon peel, cinnamon sticks, anise stars and cardamom at the bottom of the dish. Drizzle with red wine and Port wine and spread donuts of butter over the pears. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven, remove the aluminum foil and drizzle with the sauce. Place back in the oven, uncovered, for another 30 to 40 minutes.
