Born in Istanbul in 1967, Aynur Haşhaş started the Voice Education Department of ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory in 1983 after completing her primary and secondary education. She transferred to the Department of Fundamental Sciences to make compilations upon the advice of Nida Tüfekçi Hoca and completed her university education in 1991. Since 1987, the artist has been traveling around Anatolia to compile, research, and compiling folk songs related to folk dances and semahs. Since 1990, she has been conducting studies on traditions & customs and Anatolian beliefs. Aynur Haşhaş is also interested in all areas of art, plays folk dances at an advanced level, does semah and is interested in tango. The artist also collects all the accumulations in her literary life and compiles them into a book. Aynur Haşhaş continues her album work professionally in addition to her social work. There are works realized with a rock sound infrastructure in the works Anadolu'nun Kayıp Şarkıları Geçti Gönül Baharımız Yazımız and Transborders Project. In addition, the piece “Meyhaneci” from the film La Femme du Veme (The Mysterious Woman), a joint production of France & England & Poland and directed by Pawel Pawlikowski, was brought to the big screen with the interpretation of Aynur Haşhaş. Mazlum Çimen was the musical director of Aynur Haşhaş’s first album and Arif Sağ was the musical director of her second. After two professional names, the artist took the director’s chair herself and brought to life the instrumental albums Halaya Davet, Harman 1 and Harman 2 along with her latest album Revan. Thus, Aynur Haşhaş proved her success in this field. The artist last sang Yusuf Hayaloğlu’s piece “Şu Dağlarda Kar Olseydim” in 2017, which received great appreciation from her listeners. Aynur Haşhaş believes in the universality of music and art. According to Haşhaş, all people in the world are friends. No one is superior to another, every individual is equal and free. The artist brings her life and works to life in line with these principles.
