About :

Ayşe Işın is 77 years old. When she was 15 years old, her father interrupted her one evening when she was visiting her uncle. When she returned home the next day and learned about this, she reacted like a child and objected, but nothing changed. Three days later, she married her husband Mustafa Işın, who was also 15 years old. They lived together with their father-in-law and mother-in-law until they died. Shortly after they got married, her husband Mustafa Işın left home to study Arabic. This education lasted four years. Then two years of military service and a post in the district of Of after military service… Aunt Ayşe was always in their village house during this time. She raised her children and lived with the elders amidst the intense work of the village. Her husband only came on leave three days a month. Life continued like this for a long time, and when her daughters grew up and were able to work, she finally started going to her husband for two or three months of the year. Then one day, her husband Mustafa Işın submitted a petition for transfer to Hatay Kırıkhan. Although her father was not happy, the transfer was made. There is a settlement house and field provided for them by the state in 1965. After a painful journey, they settle in Kırıkhan. After this journey, Aunt Ayşe, who leaves her daughters in Çaykara, loses her ability to speak for a while due to the shock she experiences. Then her voice suddenly opens up. This migration in the 1980s brings her together with her husband. There, they engage in agricultural activities in addition to her husband's duty as an imam. Her husband Mustafa Işın, who had cancer in his fifties, passes away in his 60s. Aunt Ayşe continues her life together with her sons. But she also deeply feels the difficulty of separation in old age. The trips she makes to her children from time to time and her grandchildren are now her joy of life. Here, we share with you anecdotes from Aunt Ayşe Işın's life full of exile and a photograph of a period from a woman's perspective.
