A special clip of the movie version of "Hirugao" (directed by Nishitani Hiroshi, to be released on June 10th), the adaptation of the TV drama "Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon" (Fuji TV), starring actress Ueto Aya, was released on April 20th. The drama aired from July to September 2014 and is based on the theme of a "weekday daytime wife" who falls in love with another man after sending her husband off to work on weekdays. The story depicts the struggles and anguish of Sasamoto Sawa, a part-time housewife played by Ueto Aya, who falls into the life of a "daytime wife" after meeting Kitano Yuichiro, a biologist played by Saito Takumi. The movie is set three years after the events of the drama. Sawa (Ueto), who divorced her husband and lived alone in a seaside town, happened to find out that Kitano (Saito) was coming to the town to give a lecture, and the two of them met again... The movie version will be directed by Nishitani, just like the drama, and the screenplay will be written by Yumiko Inoue.
