Organized by the Zaldibiako Zapiak Bat association, the 7th Autumn Zapi Janztea bertso session took place at the Zubiburu society. Ane Labaka, Julio Soto, Garazi Navarro and Jexuxmari Irazu -last year's winner- performed. The bertsolaris gave a beautiful and elegant bertso session and were highly applauded by the audience who came to have lunch and listen to the bertsoas. When it came to finding out who was the best of the session -there are no judges- it was up to the audience to choose by vote. After the counting, the speaker Iker Iriarte said that it was Julio Soto. Following tradition, Irazu tied the scarf to Soto. 1) Ane Labaka: the speaker asked her for three bertsoas: a bertso on topics that are not discussed with family members; topics that are not discussed among friends; and topics that are not discussed with a partner. 2) Four points to Julio and Jexuxmari. 3) Garazi is the undo button on the computer, which looks back to the past, and Ane is the redo button, which looks forward to the future. 4) Laura and Garazi are members of the Zaldibi choir. Ane sings very well; Julio is out of tune; Jexuxmari doesn't know a single word; and Garazi spends more time in the bar than singing. 5) Jexuxmari and Ane are a couple: Jexuxmari is bothered by something, and that is that Ane is taller than him. 6) Julio's theme: Basque Team.
