Today is the start of the third day of my bike tour. And it will be a tough one. It won't be as tranquil as the days before. It started relatively harmlessly. After a good breakfast at the Brunautal campsite near Bispingen, I set off in light rain. First I went along the country road, again with a very undulating profile, roughly in the direction of Lüneburg. I bypassed the town on a forest path with a very sandy surface. At one point I almost fell over and my freshly oiled chain picked up a lot of sand. With a crunching chain I continued to the boat lift in Schanebeck and then always along the Elbe-Seiten-Kanal to Lauenburg on the Elbe and then further along the Elbe-Lübeck-Kanal to my campsite. Which wasn't so easy, though, because my campsite was on the other side of the canal and there was no ferry that day. So I had to keep cycling and on the third attempt it finally worked. After almost 100 km I was able to put up my tent at the Güster campsite. To make matters worse, it started to rain while I was cooking my food. What a day.
