Today, April 2nd, for #WorldAutismDay, we are presenting the premiere of one of the documents that we at @divulgaciondinamicaformacion have prepared, with the aim of giving more visibility to ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and, above all, to the tireless struggle of families whose lives have changed after a diagnosis. Did you know that ASD occurs in 1 in 100 births? Did you know that Early Care for these children is only available up to the age of 6? What happens then? In addition, the individuality of this disorder means that parents have to train themselves with practically no help. For all these reasons, we want to join the requests of the affected families in asking for more research and training in this field, since it is essential to achieve an adequate and early diagnosis and develop more appropriate interventions. This is the first of a series of documents that we have produced with different experts and professionals who provide different perspectives; Manuel A. Fernández (El Neuropediatra), Antonio Guerrero (Fundación Antonio Guerrero), Dr. Crespo (President of the Spanish Association of Integrative Physicians), Natalia Moragues (Alvida Nutrición) and other experts. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their collaboration. We will be able to see how the difficulties and delays in the detection and diagnosis of ASD are denounced, the lack of information and training for families and professionals themselves, and the lack of resources and research by those responsible for everyone's health. We would like to thank the families for their courage and for telling us their story: Miguel Ángel, Javier, Susana, Laura, Roberto, Carmen and José. Without them, this would not have been possible.
