Kezban Yenge boasts about being from a famous family in the village and that's why she doesn't like anyone. She has managed to intimidate everyone in the village, including her husband, with her masculine character. Burhan, the son of Bekir, one of the village musicians, is in love with Kezban's daughter Sülbiye. One day, Bekir knocks on Kezban's door to ask for Sülbiye's hand in marriage to his son. But Kezban kicks them out of the house and tells them that she will never give her daughter to them. Thereupon, Bekir writes a folk song to criticize Kezban and sings this folk song at a wedding when Kezban is present. Kezban gets very angry about this situation and starts making plans for revenge.
