Roger Willemsen died on February 7, 2016. He left a gap - in the country's journalistic landscape and in our hearts. In "The Passionate Contemporary", published on the occasion of his 60th birthday, there is a list of all the programs and evenings that he was responsible for at the festival over the course of 15 years. The relationship between Roger Willemsen and lit.COLOGNE was a deep one, characterized by mutual affection and expectations of something special. Last March, so soon after his death, it was impossible for us to honor him with a big evening. Now, however, it is both a joy and a deeply felt wish for us. In conversations and with readings, we remember an important contemporary. His last text, Who We Were, will be read publicly for the first time. With: Iris Berben, Maria Schrader, Christian Brückner, Joachim Król and others.
