"Ali Esfandiari" known as "Nima Yoshij" (born on 21 Aban 1276 - died on 13 January 1338) is a contemporary poet and the founder of new poetry, nicknamed the "Father of New Poetry" in Persian. "Ali Esfandiari", a man who later became known as "Nima Yoshij", was born on 21 Aban 1276, which coincides with 11 November 1897, in an area called "Yosh", one of the districts of "Nur" city of Mazandaran. In his hometown, he learned to read and write from Makhund Deh. He was 11 years old when he moved to Tehran with his family and across from the Shah Mosque, which was one of the centers of activity of the constitutionalists. They settled in a rented house next to Dar al-Shafa school. He first went to "Hayat Javed" elementary school and after a while, he was sent to a Catholic school, which was known as "Senlui" school in Tehran at that time. Later, in the same school, the care and encouragement of a well-behaved teacher "Nizam Wafa" - the famous poet of that time - led him to write poetry. He wrote his first poem called "Pale Story" at the age of 23. Nima was employed by the Ministry of Finance in 1298, and two years later, he prepared weapons with the intention of armed struggle against the Qajar government. In these years, he wanted to join the movement of forest fighters; But later he gave up. In December 1301, Nima wrote the poem "Efsaneh" and published parts of it in the 20th Century magazine under the editorship of "Mirzadeh Eshghi". In 1305, he married "Alia Jahangiri" - the niece of Jahangir Khan Sorasarafil. In 1317, he became a member of the editorial board of "Music Magazine" and worked in the press alongside "Sadegh Hedayat", "Abdul Hossein Noushin" and "Mohammed Zia Hashtroudi". In 1321, his son "Shraagim" was born.... Finally, this great poet, while suffering from pneumonia due to the severe cold, went to Tehran for treatment; But the treatments had no effect and he passed away forever on 13th January 1338. He was buried in Tehran; Until in 1372, according to his will, his body was taken to Yosh and buried in the yard of his birthplace.
