The Mobile Fidelity case, which I wrote about on my blog, is basically a case concerning advertising messages. These must be truthful, regardless of where they are broadcast. In the audio industry, where we deal with subjective impressions, it is very easy to, sometimes unconsciously, stumble. In this article, I present my view of advertising messages in the Polish audio press. Are they all compliant with the Act on Combating Unfair Competition? What exactly is misleading advertising? What can and cannot be said in advertising and how does this relate to audio cables and other controversial accessories? You can find the full article about the Mobile Fidelity case on the Ton Składowy blog: https://tonskladowy.pl/artykuly/mobil... The article also includes the story of the punishment of the British company Chord (which mainly produces audio cables) by the ASA - the British advertising market regulator.
