Formerly known as the Istanbul Cultural Palace, later renamed as the Ataturk Cultural Center. AKM. Unable to be built for years, burned down 1.5 years after it opened, rebuilt, closed again and rebuilt. A building that is the center of both art and life. This documentary tells the story of AKM, whose story is intertwined with Istanbul and is almost as old as the Republic.
