We need people like you to support our project so we can continue carrying out our work of accompanying at the end of life. ▶ Visit our website: http://www.alfinaldelavida.org Live, from the CMM Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, OMC Radio, with the help of Lucía Callén and José Ramón Planelles, held the first AlFinalDeLaVida #ConMayorVoz program together with Leaders, the elderly, and the residents of Villaverde, breaking the taboo about death, giving voice to the process of grief, illness, aging and loneliness, and sharing the resources we have to face these processes in community. In this first programme, the Leaders, as well as the attendees, expressed their greatest fears and rescued the main keys provided by Raúl Vincenzo Giglio, transpersonal therapist at Fundación Vivo Sano, one of the entities organising the project together with OMC Radio, to deal with the process of dying. Given the social urgency of accompanying people who, due to their social or family situation, reach the end of their lives isolated and/or alone, Blanca Torres, founding member of the association accompaniment 112 (acm112), tells us how they carry out their work voluntarily together with other social resources to deal with this increasingly extreme social need. To fight against isolation, Blanca suggests that "We have to start relating more through our vulnerabilities and less through our strengths", as is required of us in today's society. We learn about the Sevilla Contigo Project, compassionate cities, from the hand of Cristina Castillo, to understand how we can build interdependent networks with citizens educated in the need and privilege of care.
